WITHOUT RUN FLAT SYSTEM

Potholes & Road Debris
Karachi's coastal roads and construction zones create constant puncture hazards. One blowout stops your convoy in a vulnerable location.

Ballistic Tyre Damage
Gunfire or IED debris instantly deflates standard tyres, leaving armoured vehicles immobilised in the exact moment they need to move.

Monsoon Road Hazards
Flooded roads conceal broken glass, nails, and sharp rubble — causing sudden tyre failure with no warning and no safe stopping zone.

Remote Terrain Failure
A puncture in KPK or Balochistan, far from any repair shop, becomes a life-threatening situation without run flat capability.

WITH AAT ARMOURTECH RUN FLAT

Continue Driving After Puncture
Continue Driving After Puncture Reinforced run flat inserts support the vehicle's full weight even with zero air pressure — continued movement up to 80 km.

Ballistic-Grade Resistance
Engineered to withstand ballistic impact, sharp debris, and extreme load compatible with B6 and B7- rated armoured vehicles.

Full Steering Control Retained
Unlike a blown tyre that causes dangerous swerving, run flat technology maintains directional stability even at reduced speeds.

Reach Any Safe Zone
Whether operating in Islamabad's diplomatic zones or remote tribal areas, your vehicle reaches its destination without stopping.
HOW IT WORKS
How the Run Flat System Works
Insert Installed
A durable, high-density run flat insert is fitted inside the tyre between the rim and tyre wall, which is invisible and weight-bearing.
Tyre Is Punctured
Under ballistic fire, sharp debris, or blowout; the tyre loses air pressure immediately. No air remains.
Insert Bears the vehicle Load
The vehicle’s full weight transfers to the run flat insert. The insert now carries the armoured vehicle.
Safe Evacuation
The vehicle continues driving up to 80 km at controlled speed, enough to exit any threat zone and reach a secure checkpoint or safe location.
BENEFITS + SPECIFICATIONS
Why Choose AAT ArmourTech Run Flat Tyres
Zero Downtime, Zero Exposure
A stationary armoured vehicle is a target. Run flat systems eliminate the window of vulnerability that a tyre change creates.
Armoured Vehicle Load Compatibility
Armoured vehicles weigh significantly more than standard vehicles. Our inserts are engineered to support that additional ballistic-grade load.
Full Steering Stability Retained
Unlike a burst tyre that pulls violently, run flat inserts preserve directional control which is critical for evasive driving manoeuvres.
Works on Pakistan's Diverse Terrain
From Karachi’s coastal roads to Gilgit’s mountain passes, tested for every Pakistani terrain type, climate, and road condition.
Integrated with AAT ArmourTech Vehicles
Every AAT ArmourTech armoured vehicle is factory-fitted with run flat systems, has no retrofitting gaps and no compatibility compromises.

FAQs
Are run flat tyres suitable for Pakistani roads?
Yes — with an important distinction. Consumer run flat tyres used on standard vehicles do have limitations on rough roads. However, armoured vehicle run flat insert systems are a different technology. They are designed specifically for heavy-load armoured vehicles and can handle the potholes, debris, and unpredictable surfaces found across Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.
What is the difference between run flat tyres and run flat inserts?
Consumer run flat tyres use reinforced sidewalls. Armoured vehicle run flat inserts are solid rings installed inside the tyre. Inserts are far more durable, load-capable, and suited for vehicles over 3 tonnes — which is the weight class of most armoured SUVs and sedans.
How far can an armoured vehicle travel on a flat tyre?
With our run flat system installed, armoured vehicles can typically travel 50 to 80 kilometres after complete tyre depressurisation — at controlled speeds up to 80 km/h. This provides ample distance to exit a threat zone and reach a secure checkpoint or safe location.
Can run flat tyres be repaired after puncture in Pakistan?
Standard consumer run flat tyres typically cannot be repaired after a puncture. With the insert-based systems used in armoured vehicles, the tyre itself may be replaceable after the incident, while the insert can often be reused. Our after-sales team handles all maintenance support across Pakistan.
Do run flat systems affect the ride quality of armoured vehicles?
All armoured vehicles carry additional weight from ballistic steel plating — making ride quality already distinct from standard cars. Run flat inserts are designed to complement armoured vehicle suspension systems and do not significantly impact normal driving comfort. The trade-off in emergency mobility far outweighs any minor ride stiffness.
Are run flat systems available for all armoured vehicle types?
Yes. AAT ArmourTech integrates run flat systems across our full fleet — armoured SUVs, sedans, pickup trucks, law enforcement vehicles, and cash-in-transit vehicles. We also provide run flat solutions for vehicles not originally manufactured by us, subject to compatibility assessment.
